Penniman Road Play Area: Basketball Court
Penniman Road Play Area is a small park located in Allston, MA, featuring a jungle gym, basketball court, and community garden. Slated for renovation by Boston Parks and Recreation, PWA is supporting the revitalization of the park’s basketball court. We believe that sports play an instrumental role in youth development—instilling key virtues such as perseverance, discipline, teamwork, respect, and confidence, all while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and community engagement.

Unlike comparable parks in the Greater Boston Area, Penniman Road Play Area is not supported by an overseeing nonprofit organization dedicated to servicing and maintaining the park. PWA is thrilled to support the City of Boston to help fund this highly anticipated renovation to revive and restore the Penniman Road Play Area to its highest potential.
